The original North Grill, built years ago in Shopping Frei Caneca, recently opened a glamorous branch in the increasingly gourmet Vila Nova Conceição – one of the city’s most expensive neighbourhoods. Despite the surrounding competition, North Grill holds its own thanks to a solid selection of premium beef, including Australian cuts and Wagyu – Japanese cattle prized for their tender meat and marbled fat. Leather seats, wood floors and an abudance of indoor foliage add up to a pleasant interior. And the prices aren’t as eye-watering as you might expect, with the set-lunch menu a particularly tempting deal.
